PAST-FORWARD
SPRING SUMMER 2008
Lakme Fashion Week 2007, Mumbai, India

“Past Forward” is a narrative, set in the 60s and revolves around “Dona” a tinsel town beauty, raised in a small town who as a child was intrigued by the world of glamour. This is Dona’s diary that is an insight into the journey she took from being a downtown lass to a glam queen…
The collection is a visual splendor with a wonderful balance of handcrafted stylish, embroidered textures and sculptural textile surfaces combined with subtle ornamentation.
The collection oozes warm and nourishing neutrals like stone, pearl and steel that are highlighted with juvenile green, rubin red and amethyst lending a richness and vibrancy.

Simple silhouettes with an organic feel that boast femininity, power and innovation best describe this wonderful collection and are meant to showcase to the world that women are empowered and continue to traverse new ground…
